Get Ready To Play: Netflix Has Games!
Are you one of those people that can’t get enough of app games? Do you love to immerse yourself in the world of play every chance you get? Well, if you’re also a Netflix addict, we’ve got GREAT news for you! Netflix has added games to its platform!
Say what?! Yes, you heard me right – Netflix now has its own games library! It’s the perfect combination for binge gaming and binge watching! In this post, we’ll give you a sneak peek at what’s available, and why you need to get your game on with Netflix!
What’s Included?
I’ll start off by telling you the best part, they’re all included in your current subscription, no extra fees! Yuuuuup! No extra fees to play all the games Netflix has to offer.
There’s also this:
- No ads to interrupt you at every turn
- No in-app purchases
- Unlimited access to 50+ exclusive mobile games
What’s Available?
Let’s talk about what’s on offer. Netflix is starting with a few simple games, but hard core gamers, beware – you won’t find Call of Duty or Fortnite here.
So, what’s available? Well, for starters, there’s Stranger Things: 1984, which follows the same retro style as the series itself, and lets you complete tasks and puzzles. Then there’s the choose-your-own-adventure style Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal (I remember playing this in school, don’t date me!).
Lastly, there’s Furia Ninja (Ninja Fury), which is similar to what you’d expect from a basic mobile phone game.

How To Play?
You’ll find all the games on the Home Screen of your Netflix app (or do a search for “games” because you know the order of the rows change all the time!).
Once downloaded (games download to your phone as normal) while inside the Netflix app all you have to do is click the red “play” button and you will be taken to your game.
Plus, no need to go into your wallet every time you want to try a new game, the games are free to play for all Netflix subscribers.

Netflix also hints at the idea of incorporating more interactive elements in their shows. For example, the company already has interactive movies like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and You vs Wild.
Are you ready for this? Netflix has plans in the works for expanding their game library to more games and genres like racing, action, and adventure games. Netflix may even release their own original games in the future.
